Starting with a Dream

In 1970, when John Watson established Watson & Downs Investments by purchasing his first property, he had a vision and a dream of building a commercial development company to serve the needs of businesses in the Dothan area. His dream started with a property leased to Jack’s Hamburgers. Today Watson and Downs Investments owns and manages more than 3 million square feet of property.

Our Story

The property leased to Jack’s Hamburgers was purchased as a long term investment opportunity. John developed this piece of property with the plan of using it to one day pay for his children’s college education.
